Pipe up! Brochure shows how to save on compressed air supply installations

20  June  2008

The UK’s largest supplier of pneumatic products and process systems, Thorite, has launched a new 16 page A5 brochure designed to completely de-mystify the task of installing an effective and efficient workshop compressed air supply.

New “Pipe Up!” does away with the need for costly compressed air pipe work installations by third parties, by providing a step by step, fully illustrated guide.

All the different components required to complete an efficient air distribution system are fully detailed and the brochure’s illustrations are linked by keys to the main Thorite product catalogue, for easy identification and purchase.

There are also helpful pointers from Fred the cartoon character, who acts as a guide throughout, plus useful Do’s and Don’ts covering first principles.

Whether the need is for a complete new compressed air system, or an extension to an existing airline, only basic hand tools are required along with the minimum of effort and expense.

The systems described in the booklet are generally suitable for compressors up to 15HP (11 kW) and “Pipe Up!” is available free of charge from any of Thorite’s nine Sales & Service Centres throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire and the North East, as well as by download from Thorite’s website: www.thorite.co.uk
